VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Faith Christian's Josh Brannan had 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Conquerors improved to 8-0 with a 54-36 win at Gateway Christian in Virginia Beach on Friday.

Aaron Sladick added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Faith, while John Spencer chipped in eight points.

Gateway only managed double-digit scoring in third quarter.

The Conquerors return to action on Jan. 3 at home against Hilltop Christian.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Faith Christian's Jeremy Sandlin scored 16 points as the Conquerors fell 44-38 to Gateway Christian on Friday.

Austin Webber contributed 11 points for Faith (3-1), which hosts Hilltop Christian on Jan. 3.

Spring Creek's Wes Denham won at 215 by pinfall as the Gators' suffered a 42-33 loss to North Pitt last Thursday.

Daquan Wright (160), Eric Walters (130), Darren Straub (125) and Derek Strickland (112) also claimed wins for Spring Creek.

The Gators return to action on Thursday at home against Southern Wayne.
