Mount Olive defender Kristine Gallagher and midfielder April Jacobs both earned third team honors on the 2005 NSCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-Southeast Region Team, as selected by members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. With the award, Jacobs becomes the Trojans' first-ever two-time women's soccer all-region selection.

Gallagher, a freshman from Plantation, Fla., was named to the All-Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference First Team as she helped the Trojans hold opponents to a 1.32 goals against average in 2005. Gallagher also contributed on the offensive end, tying for fifth in the CVAC with eight assists, including an assist on the tying goal in Mount Olive's overtime win over top-seeded Pfeiffer in the semifinal round of the 2005 CVAC Tournament.

Jacobs, a sophomore from Fayetteville, N.C., was named to the All-Southeast Region Third Team for the second consecutive year and also earned All-CVAC First Team honors for the second year in a row. Jacobs led the CVAC with 13 assists and ranks 18th in the nation in assists per game. Jacobs helped spark the Trojans' CVAC Tournament semifinal win over No. 1 seed Pfeiffer, scoring the tying goal (on Gallagher's assist) in the 82nd minute and assisting on the game-winner in the ninth minute of overtime.

Mount Olive posted a 14-9-0 record in 2005 and finished fourth in the CVAC regular season standings with an 8-3-0 mark. Mount Olive has reached the championship match of the CVAC Women's Soccer Tournament in each of the two years, winning the title in 2004 and finishing as runner-up in 2005.
