Clarke leads Conquerors past Roxboro Christian
WENDELL -- Faith Christian's Elizabeth Clarke finished with 14 points as the Conquerors defeated Roxboro Christian 40-29 on Friday during the second day of the Southeastern Tournament.
Renee Provincal added nine points overall for Faith, while Amy Hill had 14 rebounds.
On Thursday, Faith suffered a 43-41 loss to Jacksonville Christian on the first day of the tourney. Clarke posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and five assists as Natalie Thibeaux added nine points and five assists.
Faith returns to action on Nov. 29 against Berrean-Fayetteville at home.

PIKEVILLE -- Goldsboro's Kevonta McDuffie had 19 points and 12 rebounds to help lead the Cougars to a 73-47 win at Charles B. Aycock on Friday.
Tavon Murchison added 13 points and five steals for Goldsboro, while temmate Jameson Wellington had 10 points and five rebounds. A.J. Fowler dished out 10 assists to go with eight points.
The Cougars (1-0) travel to Smithfield-Selma on Nov. 29.
Hawg's Breath
Bass Club
Hawg Breath Bass Club held its monthly tournament on the Neuse and Trent Rivers on Nov. 19. John Edwards teamed up with his guest, Kevin Stewart, to take top honors. Edwards also took the "big fish" pot. Second place went to the team of Joe Moye and Oscar Johnson.
Next month's tournament will be held Dec. 10 on Buckhorn Reservoir. Anyone interested in joining the club should contact Lou Cook at 778-1463.
