April Jacobs and Kristine Gallagher earned first team honors and Gina Dos Santos and Kate Painter were both named to the second team as Mount Olive placed four players on the 2005 All-Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Women's Soccer Team, which was announced Friday during ceremonies at the CVAC Men's Soccer Tournament at Belmont Abbey College.

Jacobs, a sophomore midfielder from Fayetteville, N.C. (Pine Forest HS), leads the CVAC and is tied for 16th in the nation with 13 assists this season. Jacobs, who also earned first team honors last year as a freshman, becomes the Trojans' first-ever two-time All-CVAC women's soccer selection.

Gallagher, a freshman defender from Plantation, Fla. (St. Thomas Aquinas HS), is tied for fifth in the CVAC with eight assists to go along with three goals. She has helped Mount Olive's defense limit opponents to a 1.26 goals against average.

Dos Santos, a sophomore forward from Whitehall, Pa. (Whitehall HS), ranks second in the CVAC with 19 goals. A CVAC Player of the Week honoree during the season, Dos Santos is tied for the second-highest single-game goal-scoring total in NCAA II this season with four goals in the Trojans' season opener. Dos Santos was named to the 2004 All-CVAC Second Team.

Painter, a sophomore midfielder from London, Ontario (A.B. Lucas HS), has four goals and five assists this season, including two goals in the Trojans' CVAC Tournament first round victory over Erskine. Painter, who has a goal and/or assist in three of her last four matches, was named to the 2004 All-CVAC Second Team.
