PRINCETON -- Ayden-Grifton's Daniel Greene ran for a touchdown, caught a touchdown, while also collecting eight tackles and blocking a punt for the Chargers, who rolled past Princeton 49-0 in a Class 1-A Carolina Conference game on Friday at Princeton on Friday.
Ayden-Grifton's win sets up a winner-take-all matchup with undefeated North Johnston next week for the conference championship in Littlefield as both teams will take a 4-0 mark in conference play into the contest. The Bulldogs (0-10, 0-4 Carolina) conclude the regular season at archrival Rosewood next Friday.
Greene, who finished with 111 rushing yards on eight carries, also had a sack for the Charger defense, which limited Princeton to only 30 total offensive yards in the game. Josh Hunter led the defensive effort with 11 tackles.
James Greene added 72 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries for Ayden-Grifton, while Matt Tripp had 56 yards on the ground and a score. The Chargers (9-1, 4-0), who finished with 342 yards of total offense, also had three touchdowns called back due to penalties in the game.
A 27-point third quarter helped put the game away for Ayden-Grifton.
