Wayne Christian netters remain unbeaten
Wayne Christian claimed two of three doubles matches and remained unbeaten with a 6-3 victory over Village Christian in a Class 1-A Carolina Christian Conference match at Herman Park.
The Eagles second-seeded tandem of Bianca Wall-Chris Hoeper dominated their opponents 8-1. Catie Fairchild-Stacie McCary, seeded No. 3, cruised prevailed 8-2.
Wall, Hoeper, Fairchild and Mary West each triumphed in singles.
Wayne Christian is 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the CCC.

Senior Elizabeth Clarke provided four kills and three digs on defense in Faith Christian's 25-13, 25-5, 25-11 loss at home Friday against Falls Road of Rocky Mount.
Kaytlin Floars added five digs. Brittany Jones contributed three digs.
Faith Christian (0-4) entertains Liberty of Durham at home Tuesday.
