MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Kinston Indians cruised to a 9-3 victory in their series finale at Myrtle Beach as the visiting K-Tribe collected 14 hits and blasted two home runs.

Down 1-0 early, Kinston took the lead for good in the top of the second inning highlighted by a pair of RBI singles from Argenis Reyes and Brandon Pinckney. The Indians added another run on an error, to take a 3-1 advantage.

After scoring three runs in the second, Kinston did it again in the top of the third, plating three more runs to extend their lead to 6-1. A two-run double courtesy of Caleb Brock followed by an RBI double from Ryan Goleski helped the Indians produce their second straight two-run frame.

In the fifth and sixth inning the Indians used the long ball to pile on more runs. In the fifth, Brian Barton connected for his 3rd homer of the season, a solo blast to make the score 7-1. In the sixth, Rodney Choy Foo crushed a line drive shot over the left field fence, a two-run homer to push the lead to 9-1.

Choy Foo's fourth round-tripper of the season capped off the Indians' scoring for the evening.

Myrtle Beach starter Chris Waters (3-4) suffered the loss after allowing nine runs, eight of them earned, on 12 hits in six innings of labor. Kinston starter Tom Mastny (6-3) earned the win after slinging seven solid innings that saw him give up just one run on three hits.

Mastny fanned seven and walked just one in the victory.
