Eastern Wayne Pee Wee Football
Eastern Wayne Wee Warriors Pee Wee Football has nine openings remaining for the 8-to-10-year old team and four openings left for the 11-12-year-old team. Eighth Annual Basketball Summer Clinic
KP Sports Co. presents the Eighth Annual Basketball Summer Clinic on Saturday at the Goldsboro Family YMCA from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The clinic is for boys and girls ages 5-19 and cost is $25, which includes T-shirt for pre-registered attendees and lunch. Grantham Youth Sports fall baseball

Fremont Youth Sports fall baseball
Registration for fall baseball in Fremont is underway with final registration on Saturday from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Fremont ballfield. Anyone age 7-13 interested in playing should contact Jason Davis at 242-4147 for information and early registration.
NYS fall baseball

Marmac/Wayne Dixie fall ball kill 8-13

Habitat for Humanity golf tournament
Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne will be sponsoring its first golf tournament Aug. 11 at the Lane Tree Golf Club. A shotgun start will be held at noon. The entry fee is $50 per player and includes green and cart fees, one mulligan, prizes, practice balls and the awards dinner after the tournament. SW Booster Club
The Southern Wayne High School Booster Club will meet Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. at the school. Anyone interested in Southern Wayne athletics is encouraged to attend.
Spring Creek volleyball
Volleyball tryouts for Spring Creek are scheduled for Aug. 8-9 and 11 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. Athletes must have a complete physical form, including signature, on file at the school in order to participate. For more information, contact coach Deanna Morris at 778-7272.

WCDS Volleyball Camp
The 2005 Juliet Jones Annual Volleyball Camps will be held Aug. 8-11 at Wayne Country Day. The camp is open to girls ages 11-18 of any skill level. The camp's registration fee is $100 for either session per camper. There is a $25 discount for siblings who attend the camp. Campers can attend both sessions for $175. The camp will begin daily at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Campers need to bring their own lunches, or may purchase items from the camp concessions. Southern Wayne women's tennis

Southern Wayne volleyball tryouts
Report dates for Southern Wayne volleyball tryouts will be staggered by grade this year. Freshmen will report for tryouts Aug. 8, Sophomores -- Aug. 9, Juniors -- Aug. 10, Seniors -- Aug. 11. Report time for each class on their first day is 2:30 p.m. Each day after is 3 p.m. Tryouts end Aug. 12. Every player needs to have a completed physical and a wallet-size photo to leave with the coach. Be dressed to play. RYSA fall coach-pitch baseball
Rosewood Youth Sports Association will be sponsoring a fall coach pitch league this year. Play will begin after Labor Day. A child must be 6, 7 or 8 years of age on April 30 of next year to be eligible. This will be an instructional league for those who will be playing coach pitch next year. The league will be open to all Wayne and surrounding county youth. Registration will be held every remaining Saturday in July and the first Saturday in August at Rosewood Middle School gym from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost will be $25 per child. Boys & Girls Club tackle football
Registration for Boys & Girls Club of Wayne County tackle and flag football runs through Aug. 12. Tackle football is for ages 8-10 and 11-12, while flag football is for ages 6-8. The cost is $45 for members and $55 for non-members. For more information, contact Jeff Barnes at 735-2358.
Carolina Screamers fastpitch tryouts
The Carolina Screamers will be holding tryouts for the upcoming year for 10-U, 14-U and 16-U teams. The tryouts will be held at North Johnston High School's softball field on Aug. 13. Hurricanes 10-under tryouts

Tennis camps
Tennis pro Alan Cuddington is offering week-long tennis camps for players ages 6-18 on the following dates: Aug. 8-11 and Aug. 15-18. Pirate Club Golf Classic
The Pirate Club Golf Classic will be held Aug. 18 at Walnut Creek Country Club. This tournament is open to everyone. The format is three-person superball with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. There will be two flights. A box lunch prior to the start will be provided by Quizno's Subs of Goldsboro and dinner will be provided after completion of play. There will be prizes and several East Carolina coaches participating. Cost is $75 per player or $225 per team. Sponsorships are available starting at $100.
