Kinston blew a four-run lead for the second straight night as the Winston-Salem Warthogs came back for an 8-7 victory Tuesday to hand the Indians their sixth straight loss. The setback completed a three-game sweep at Ernie Shore Field, and it capped an 0-6 road trip for the Indians, who return home today against Wilmington.

The Indians, who won the first-half title in the Carolina League's Southern Division, have now lost nine of their last 10.

On Tuesday, Kinston (3-9 second half, 44-38 overall) took a 5-1 lead with a five-run second inning, but the Warthogs (7-4, 46-35) put up three in the sixth off reliever Matt Davis (3-4). Micah Schnurstein and Noah Hall both homered in the frame for Winston-Salem.

Nathan Panther went 2-for-4 with his 10th homer for Kinston, which got two hits each from Chris de la Cruz, Caleb Brock, Ryan Goleski and Luis Cotto.
