MOUNT OLIVE -- Snow Hill Post 94 benefited from two sixth-inning errors and claimed a 5-2 decision against Duplin County on Friday afternoon at Scarborough Field in first day action at the Wayne County Invitational Tournament.

Brandon Brown started the Snow Hill sixth with a single to left field. John Allen Conway reached on a one-out error and Tommy Cobb loaded the bases with an infield hit.

Travis Rouse collected the game-winning RBI on a groundout which scored Brown. Duplin County's defense bobbled a ground ball and Post 94 picked up two insurance runs.

Brown finished the day 2-for-3 with an RBI and has now hit safely in six consecutive games. Rouse, Bagley and Murray each contributed a hit and combined for two RBI.

Drew Sowers recorded seven strikeouts in six-plus innings and allowed six hits. Jordy Davis struck out the only batter he faced en route to the save.

Snow Hill improved to 4-3 overall.
