Dart league
The Goldsboro Dart League, a steel-tip dart league, is forming to start play January 10. League games will be Monday nights at 7 p.m. Form your own three-person team and sign up. The league is non-profit and has no affiliations. Goldsboro Sting 14-under tryouts
Tryouts will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Goldsboro Family YMCA for the Goldsboro Sting 14-under boys soccer team. For more information, contact Terry Forrest at 735-1473.
S. Johnston JV softball tourney
The South Johnston junior varsity softball team will host an Easter softball tournament. The tournament will be played on April 2, 2005 at South Johnston High School. The tournament will be a two-game guarantee with an entry fee of $50 per team. The first three junior varsity teams to commit will make up the tournament bracket. A waiting list for additional teams will be created to fill any vacant spots. RYSA general meeting
The Rosewood Youth Sports Association will hold its monthly meeting on Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Rosewood Middle School cafeteria. Please note the time change from previous meetings. Everyone is invited to attend.
35-over men's amateur baseball
A new amateur men's baseball team for adults 35 and older, centered in the Smithfield area, is looking for baseball pitchers and position players for a wood bat league that plays 22 games from April to Sept., usually on Sunday. ECAP team registration
The Eastern Carolina Athletic Park will be host to 14 AAU boys baseball tournaments (including two Super Regionals), 10 Girls AAU softball tournaments, 10 baseball or softball invitational tournaments, the East North State Wood Bat League end of year tournament and much more.
