Stacie McCary tallied a team-leading 13 points, but it wasn't enough in Wayne Christian's 50-42 loss against Cape Fear Christian in a Class 1-A Carolina Christian Conference battle Friday.
"Cape Fear came in with a 6-1 record and I knew it was going to be a tough matchup," Wayne Christian coach Roger Longwell said. "The team with the less mistakes was going to take the win, and that's what Cape Fear did ... make fewer mistakes than we did."
