KENLY -- North Johnston's Helen Moore showed her versatility with 25 points, nine rebounds and six steals as the Panthers cruised to a 58-30 win at home over South Lenoir.
Lakisha McFadden added 11 points for the Panthers (2-0), while teammate Amanda Pope provided 10 points. Shanice Williams pulled down eight rebounds off the bench.
Nicole Corn paced the Blue Devils (1-1) with 11 points.
North Johnston hosts Louisburg on Wednesday.

Goldsboro's Anthony Artis poured in 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the Cougars 85-73 loss at home to Southeast Raleigh on Monday.
The loss drops Goldsboro to 1-1 heading into today's Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference opener at home against Charles B. Aycock.
Q.T. Battle posted 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Cougars.
Princeton drops
Spring Creek
PRINCETON -- Ryan Daughtry pumped in 17 of his game-high 19 points in the second half as Princeton toppled Spring Creek 56-42 in the Class 1-A Carolina Conference opener for both schools Monday evening.
Will Gainey and Josh Holmes each contributed nine points for the Bulldogs, who climbed to 2-1 overall. Eight players scored at least one or more points for Princeton.
Kevin Winn paced the Gators, who were playing their season-opening game, with 14 points. Teammate David Harris added 11 and Timothy Rodgers knocked down eight. Four Spring Creek players fouled out.
Middle School
Eastern Wayne boys 59, Rosewood 22 -- Stacey Edwards led the Warriors with 10 points and seven steals, while Jenieri Cyrus added 10 points. Reco McCarter posted seven points, seven assists and six steals for the Warriors. Eastern Wayne (3-0) entertains Spring Creek on Dec. 9
Frink boys 37, St. Peter's 13 -- Frink's Marquez Powell and Josh Grady scored eight points each. Frink (2-2) takes on St. Peter's on Wednesday.
