Gulledge taken to hospital

Kinston High School athletics director Wells Gulledge was taken by ambulance from the Goldsboro-Kinston football game Friday night after falling ill.
Gulledge, Kinston's head basketball coach and a former basketball player at Mount Olive College, was kept at Wayne Memorial Hospital overnight for observation. No report on his condition was issued and it was not reported what caused Gulledge to need assistance.
