Tigers' Lewis honored

WARSAW -- Lauren Lewis of James Kenan High School has been selected as the 2004 State Games of North Carolina Female Athlete of the Year.

Lewis, who took part in long-distance running events at the State Games, is also a volleyball player for the Tigers.
Lewis will receive a special gold medal award for her achievement. She is also representing the state in the national State Games Female Athlete of the Year competition.
The national winner will be selected by the National Congress of State Games.
