Sauls receives certification

INDIANAPOLIS -- The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association has recognized Wayne County Public School athletics director Dean P. Sauls as a Certified Athletic Administrator.
To earn this distinction Sauls demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.
Sauls
Sauls attended classes in Asheville and Greensboro to achieve certifiaction, and pass the CAA exam in July in Gteensboro. The classes he took included courses in philosophy, leadership, organizations and professional programs; principles, strategies, and methods of athletic administration; citizenship through sports; legal issues of athletic administration; and innovative methods of mentoring and problem solving.
Sauls is one of an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.
The NIAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 states athletic administrator associations and more than 5,500 individual members.
