CALYPSO -- North Duplin struggled offensively as Hobbton scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to take out the scrappy Rebels 21-6 at Grubbs Field Friday night.

The Rebels generated just 126 yards of offense against the Wildcats, but held Hobbton to a 7-6 lead for much of the game.

Ty Teachey's 19-yard run for a score opened the scoring as Hobbton picked up an early 7-0 lead. North Duplin held the 'Cats out of the end zone until the final quarter and closed the gap to 7-6 when Brad Lloyd scored on a 4-yard run midway through the third period.

But that was all the points North Duplin could muster against a tough Hobbton defense. John White scored on a 3-yard run to give Hobbton a 13-6 lead midway through the final quarter. The game swung to Hobbton when Teachey exploded for a 45-yard touchdown run with three minutes to go, sealing the game.

Lloyd led the offense with 59 yards rushing, while Montreal Garner added 48 yards.
