Hawks breeze
past Farmville Central
KINSTON -- North Lenoir swept all six doubles matches against Farmville Central and rolled to an 8-1 win at home in Classes 1-A/2-A Carolina/Eastern Plains Conference play on Tuesday.
Morgan Worthington, Mary-Linton Smith, Debbie Vandiford, Heather Phillips, Ashley Fillipeli and Madison Gray won singles matches for the Hawks (6-6, 5-4 Carolina/EPC).
North Lenoir's doubles combinations of Worthington-Smith and Rachel Sasser-Julie Thomas claimed doubles victories.
The Hawks host Rosewood today.

from Saints
MOUNT OLIVE -- South Central dropped just one match out of 15 as the Falcons took two matches against Southern Wayne contested on Tuesday at Mount Olive College's tennis courts.
The Saints (0-10, 0-8 Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference) got a doubles win from the number one combination of Beth Brown and Whitli Thornton in the second match.
The Falcons took all 12 singles matches in both contests.
Southern Wayne hosts Charles B. Aycock on Wednesday at Mount Olive.

Washington's Emily Cochran started the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-1 win at number one singles as the Pam Pack claimed a 6-0 win in a rain-shortened match at Eastern Wayne on Tuesday.
The Warriors' Ashley Smith and Morgan Pritchett took their matches to three sets before falling to Washington.
Eastern Wayne looks to bounce back on Thursday on the road at West Carteret.

DUDLEY -- Charles B. Aycock dropped just seven games in nine matches as the Golden Falcons cruised to a 9-0 win at Southern Wayne on Tuesday.
Mallory Strickland, Courtney Barnes, Mallory Peacock, Ashley Kemp, Lauren Pierce and Stephanie Davis claimed singles wins for Aycock, who improved to 6-2 on the season.
The Golden Falcons travel to take on Greenville Parks and Recreation on Thursday.
