Prep cross country -- CBA sweeps North Johnston

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's Michael Scott ran an 18:32 as the Golden Falcons defeated North Johnston 18-45 at home on Tuesday.
David Williams (20:05), Alan Toler (20:23) and Daniel Stancil (20:32) also turned in top-five finishes for Aycock, who improved to 4-0 on the season. Matt Peeden (20:20) took second for the Panthers (0-3).
In the girls meet, North Johnston's Heather Creech claimed first with a 22:37, but Aycock edged the Panthers 28-29.
The Falcons' Kylie Justo took second (23:52), while Abby Caplinger (24:21) and Danille Sealey (24:53) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Aycock's girls improved to 3-1, while the Panthers dropped to 2-1.
