Volleyball -- Goldsboro falls to Patriots

MOREHEAD CITY -- Traditional 3-A power West Carteret swept Goldsboro 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 in an Eastern Carolina Conference match Thursday afternoon.

First-year Cougar coach Ronnie McClary said the team's key players were Ashelyn James, Shemika Hardy and Tiffany Burden.

Goldsboro is the guest of South Central next Tuesday.
