Tennis -- Goldsboro doubles up So. Wayne

MOUNT OLIVE -- Goldsboro dominated the top four singles spots and cruised past Southern Wayne 6-3 in a Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference match at the John Neal Walker Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.
Jessica Faison, Ja'Tericka McClary, Nikki Garner and Quionna Bryant each picked up a straight-set singles win for the Cougars. Faison-McClary and Garner-Bryant also triumphed in doubles.
Kasey Powell and Leslie Barrow each took a singles win for the Saints. The No. 3 doubles of Katie Savage-Lauren Harrell also won.
Southern Wayne (0-7, 0-6 ECC) travels to Rosewood next Tuesday.
