KINSTON -- Amanda Benton provided four kills and Heather Daughtery added three kills as Wayne Country Day rallied past Arendell-Parrott Academy 19-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-23 on Thursday afternoon.

The Chargers snapped a two-match losing streak.

"They dug deep and I'm really proud of them," WCDS coach Juliet Jones said.

Benton and Daughtery combined for four aces.

Laura Ziemer added two kills and an ace, while Amanda Knutson contributed two aces, one kill and one dig. Erin Taylor chipped in one kill.

Wayne Country Day (2-2) entertains Rocky Mount Academy on Sept. 2 in the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference opener for both teams.
