Tennis -- Rosewood dealt road loss

TARBORO -- Tarboro High prevailed in five of six singles matches and cruised past Rosewood 7-1 in a Carolina/Eastern Plains 1-A/2-A Conference affair Thursday afternoon.
Kourtney Humphrey claimed the Eagles' lone win 5-7, 7-6 (1), 7-1 against the Vikings' Allison Thompson at No. 3 singles.
Tarboro won the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, but No. 2 was not contested.
Rosewood (3-2, 2-2 C/EPC) plays host to SouthWest Edgecombe next Tuesday afternoon.
