Kevin Logan and Sam Steed collected two goals apiece as unbeaten Wayne Country Day stopped Rosewood 5-2 in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon.
Logan scored in the 12th minute inside the 18-yard box, and added a second-half goal off an assist from Steed. Steed converted a penalty kick in the 72nd minute and tallied the game's final goal, off Logan's assist, in the 79th minute.
The Chargers' Byron Bryan opened the scoring in the sixth minute off an assist from Logan.
"We played a great offensive game," WCDS coach Michael Taylor said. "We kept the ball moving and we won a lot of balls in the air. We just have to get more conditioned to get ready for conference play."
Matt Howell and Drew Kriger, off Brandon Hietpas' assist, accounted for the Eagles' goals.
Ryan Ford had 10 saves for Wayne Country Day, while Antell Richards had 15 stops for Rosewood.
The Chargers (5-0) head to Wilmington this afternoon for a match at Cape Fear Academy. Meanwhile, the Eagles (1-4) entertain Wilson Beddingfield next Tuesday.
