Brogden 20, Spring Creek 0 -- Kenny Casper tallied touchdowns on runs of 30 and 50 yards, and returned a kickoff 70 yards for another TD. Adrian Amerson paced the Rams defense with six solo stops and two sacks. Casper, Scott Holloman and Edward Hinton each had six tackles. Khalil Artis intercepted the Gators quarterback once.
Norwayne 30, Rosewood 6 -- Dusty Wooten and Brendan Davis each had an interception on defense. Other leading players for the Cobras were Dominique Young, J.J. Woodard, Brian Diorio, Kendre Reid and Dalton Leewallen. Norwayne (1-0) travels to Spring Creek next Thursday afternoon.
Eastern Wayne 14, Dillard 8 -- Stacey Edwards rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and added seven tackles on defense in the Warriors' season-opening win. Jaiheem Broadhurst, Antonio Cox and Antonio Braswell registered seven tackles apiece. Eastern Wayne (1-0) travels to Grantham next Thursday afternoon.
