Eastern Wayne got a solid all-around team effort in a 25-20, 25-22, 27-25 loss at home to Jacksonville White Oak on Wednesday.
Kristen Elliott was applauded for a solid game at the net, while Anna Wilkins and Deniz Alemdar played well at the net and defensively. Brooke Newsome served on five straight points in the third game for the Warriors (0-4).
"We played so much better than we did the day before," Eastern Wayne coach Bruce Burridge said. "I think we will know more today when we go to Washington. They played together and smart. Our serving percentage had to have doubled."
