Prep tennis -- Faison wins in GHS loss

Goldsboro's Jessica Faison defeated South Central's Lauren Lee 6-3, 6-1 at number one singles as the Falcons dropped the Cougars 7-2 at the Herman Park tennis courts on Wednesday in Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference action.
The Cougars got another win at number two doubles as Faison and Sonji King claimed a 9-7 victory over South Central's Ashley Summers and Ayana Ishido.
Goldsboro continues conference play on August 31 when it hosts Kinston.
