JV tennis -- EW crushes New Bern

Eastern Wayne prevailed in five of six singles matches and cruised past New Bern 7-2 in a non-conference match contested on the Warriors' courts Wednesday afternoon.
Ashley Miller, Morgan Pritchett, Nicole Fine, Sarah Carpenter and Katie Brantley each claimed a singles win.
The doubles of Carpenter-Fine and Hallie Hulse-Jana Painter triumphed at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
The teams played eight-game pro sets in singles and doubles.
