KINSTON -- Charles B. Aycock extended its 26-year conference win streak to 271 matches as the Golden Falcons swept Kinston 9-0 in an Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference affair at the Vikings' courts on Monday.
Raychel Batts, Leslie Sasser, Carlyn Claiborne, Patricia Owen, Laine Purcell and Nicole Taylor all claimed singles wins for Aycock (3-1, 3-0 ECC). Kinston won a total of just six games in the match in singles.
Much like the singles, the Falcons easily swept the doubles.
"We played very well in both singles and doubles," Aycock coach Luke Vail said. "I was especially pleased with our consistency."
Aycock returns to action on Thursday at West Carteret.
