Snow Hill rained out
during third inning
SNOW HILL -- Snow Hill had just opened up a 4-0 lead at home against Martin County in the bottom of the third before lightning and eventually a steady downpour canceled the non-division contest.
The game will not be rescheduled.
Post 94's Jordy Davis was perfect through three innings with five strike outs.
Snow Hill catcher Joe Wade delivered a two-RBI double with a line drive over the right fielder, making the score 3-0. Post 94 got its first run on a wild pitch and another when Matthew Tyndall's single to right was misplayed -- allowing Wade to race home from second.
Post 94 takes a 6-6 overall record into its non-division game at home tonight against Beaufort County (5-2). First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
