Aycock juniors drill Wilson County

WILSON -- Aycock Junior Legion pitcher Brandon Price yielded no runs and only two hits in four innings as Aycock defeated Wilson County 13-1 in five innings at Fleming Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Aycock turned three double plays in the mercy-rule win.

Thomas Pilkington paced the offense with four hits, including a double, and three RBI. Jackson Massey and Christopher King had two hits and two RBI each, while Garrett Davis scored three runs.

Aycock (4-1, 2-1) hosts Cary on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Charles B. Aycock High School.

SNOW HILL -- Snow Hill's Craven Taylor and Spencer Albritton had big games at the plate as the Post 94 Junior Legion team defeated Pitt County West 4-2

Both Taylor and Albritton had two hits and two RBI each as both doubled.

Corey Skinner picked up the win, allowing non runs and three hits in five innings.

Post 94 travels to Hertford County today at 3 p.m.

SNOW HILL -- The Snow Hill Senior Legion baseball team's scheduled game with Kinston on Friday was moved to July 9 due to inclement weather.

Post 94 faces Hertford County on the road tonight at 7 p.m.

Northeast 13, Nahunta 2 -- Matt Jones picked up the win, while Cameron Ford and Tyler Ruffin had three hits and Matt Jones had two hits.

Northeast 4, Eastern Wayne Blue 1 -- Tyler Ruffin picked up the win, striking out six. Carson Daly, Ruffin, Matt Jones and Jordan Quinn paced the offense.

Northwest 3, Rosewood 2 -- John Taylor had two hits and two RBI for Northwest. Aaron Champion picked up the win.

Babe Ruth 13 year-olds

ECAP Pirates 15, Fremont 1 -- Adam Brannan tossed a two-hitter to pick up the win on the mound. Nick Barefoot, Josh grimes and Dylan Jones all had two hits each. The Pirates (6-1) face Greene County next.
