CHAPEL HILL -- Wayne County's Erik Lovett had three hits, including two home runs, as Post 11 won its third game in as many outings in a 17-8 Area One win at Chapel Hill on Tuesday night.

Ten players got into the hit column as Post 11 banged out 23 hits in the road win.

The left-handed Lovett drove in four runs, but he was far from alone as seven of his teammates produced multiple hit games. Josh Pate had four hits and drove in three runs with a bases-clearing double. Garrett Sutton and Jes Snyder had three hits each, while Todd MacCoy, Philip Pennington, Airlon Vinson, and Matthew Holloman had two.

Brett Butts started on the mound for Wayne and allowed one earned run in four innings of work. Adam Williams (1-0) tossed four innings of two-hit relief work to pick up the win.

Wayne County continues play tonight against Ahoskie at Mount Olive's Scarborough Field at 7:30 p.m.
