Cliff and Grey Wilson claimed supremacy in the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A eastern regionals contested at Herman Park. The duo clinched the region's No. 1 seed for next weekend's state championships at the Cary Tennis Center.
Fellow Gator Will Daniel qualified in singles with a pair of wins on Friday against Rosewood's Brandon Hietpas (6-1, 6-1) and Durham School of the Arts' Daniel Kamaya (6-1, 6-3).
Defending state champion Shawn Qwatra, also of DSA, stopped Daniel 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinal round.
Rosewood's Wesley Lovelady also earned a spot in the 16-player field next weekend.
