Eastern Wayne posted a 16-1 win at Goldsboro to improve to 8-5 in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference.
The Warriors currently hold the conference's third playoff spot heading into Friday's home game with rival Southern Wayne.
Seniors Brandon Whitfield and Keith Holley had two hits for the Warriors.
Billy McKinley (2-0) got the win on for Eastern Wayne.
Goldsboro's Curtis Mozingo had a hit, including a double. Eugene Norman and Eric McLean had one hit each for the Cougars, who hosts Kinston on Friday.
