Track -- Fryt wins three events for Falcons

PIKEVILLE -- Amy Fryt emerged a triple winner as Charles B. Aycock ran past Princeton 84-53 in a non-conference girls track meet contested Tuesday afternoon at Hardy Talton Stadium.
Fryt claimed the 100 meters in 12.96 seconds and the 200 in 28.41. She also recorded a mark of seven feet, five inches in the pole vault.
Teammates Cassandra Lewis (400), Cassandra Worrell (triple jump), Keyatta Pettiford (long jump), Artralia Williams (discus) and Danielle Street (shot put) each claimed an individual win.
Princeton senior Summer Graham triumphed in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs.
C.B. Aycock seized first place in all 16 events and cruised past the Bulldogs 137.5-8.5 in the boys' portion of the meet.
Shonte Barnes, Michael Scott and Chris Hubbard each picked up a pair of individual victories. Barnes took the shot put (42-41Ú2) and triple jump (39-41Ú2). Hubbard sprinted past the field in the 110 and 300 hurdles, while Scott captured the 1,600 and 3,200 runs.
Keith Cobb (100), Jamorris Dickerson (high jump), Kyle Williams (400), Carson Sadder (800), Montez Hamm (long jump) and Omar Rowe (discus) each earned an individual win.
Aycock swept the relays.
The Golden Falcons travel to Southern Wayne for a Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference meet Thursday afternoon. Washington is also scheduled to attend.
