Softball -- Errors plague Warriors at home

Eastern Wayne committed 12 errors and yielded nine unearned runs as Kinston emerged with a 15-7 road win on Tuesday in Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference action.
Emily Sasser and Kristy Berends had three hits each for the Warriors (3-5, 2-4 ECC), who out-hit the Vikings 12-10 on the game.
Eastern Wayne's Ginny Narron picked up the loss despite none of her five runs allowed being earned.
Lindzy McDonald added two hits for the Warriors, while Ashley Mewborn drove in two runs.
Eastern Wayne takes on conference-leading Charles B. Aycock at home today before hosting South Central on Thursday.
