Eastern Wayne's boys and girls came away with a pair of wins in a three-team match against rivals Southern Wayne and Goldsboro on Monday afternoon at New Hope.

The Warrior girls (11-4, 7-1 Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference) emerged with 74.5 team points as the Saints claimed 59, while the Cougars took third with 20.5.

Jamie Vogt paced Eastern Wayne with three, first-place finishes. Shelly Baker finished first in two events.

In the boys meet, Chris Campbell finished first in three events as the Warriors took home first place with 86.5 points. Southern Wayne took second with 54.5 as Goldsboro finished third with 33 points.

No statistics were provided on the race from Southern Wayne or Goldsboro.
