Baseball -- Gators' Amos shines at home

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek's Randy Amos struck out six and yielded three hits in five innings of work as the Gators blanked Midway 6-0 on Wednesday at home in non-conference play.
Blake Thompson and Patrick McSwain finished the shutout with one inning of relief work each.
The Gators' were balanced at the plate as five different players had one RBI each paced by Jed Potter, who delivered a two-out, two-RBI double in the sixth inning.
Jes Snyder, Derek Kirby, Amos and Thompson also drove in runs.
Spring Creek returns to Class 1-A Carolina Conference action on April 6 at home against North Johnston at 7 p.m.
