Kriger, Eagles boot Kinston

Rosewood senior co-captain Amber Kriger collected her first goal of the season to open the scoring in the Lady Eagles' 4-1 win at home over Kinston on Friday.
With the non-conference win, Rosewood improved to 7-1 overall on the season. The Eagles take a 3-1 Class 2-A Eastern Plains/Classes 1-A Carolina/Super-Six Conference worksheet into Monday's home clash against unbeaten North Lenoir.
Erin Thibodeau added two goals, while Rachel McCormick scored once in the win.
Tiffany Price dished out two assists.
Amber Summers, Kandis Weeks, Mikayla Young and Price were applauded for excellent defense.
