Softball -- Faith-RM hands Eagles first loss

Wayne Christian dropped its first contest of the season in a 13-3 loss to Faith Christian of Rocky Mount on Tuesday.
Down 7-0, the Eagles pulled to within four on a triple by Jesse Brannan and hits by Melissa Sheldon and Emily Reesman.
"We have a very young team and have made markable improvements over the last few games," Wayne Christian coach Roger Longwell said. "There is still a lot of work to be done, but I'm proud of their accomplishments to this point."
Wayne Christian is now 3-1 overall and will play Cresent Christian at home today.
