Softball -- North Lenoir tallies perfect game

LAGRANGE -- Brittany Sanders threw the first perfect game of her career Tuesday evening as unbeaten North Lenoir blitzed Richlands 13-0 in non-conference action.
Sanders notched eight strikeouts en route to her second win of the season and added a three-RBI triple on offense.
Morgan Worthington emerged the Hawks' offensive leader with three hits and an RBI. Hermia Humphrey added a double and an RBI, while Brandi Whaley batted 1-for-2.
The Hawks didn't commit an error on defense.
North Lenoir (8-0) travels to Charles B. Aycock on Thursday. Game time is 7 p.m.
