KENLY -- Brad Holloman and Kris Lutz each pounded out two hits and Holloman claimed the pitching win as North Johnston dumped Union 9-4 in a non-conference contest Wednesday afternoon.

Lutz and Holloman each batted 2-for-3, and helped the Panthers break open the game in the middle innings.

Senior Adam Stuckey doubled, Lutz collected a hit and Matt Narron drew a walk to load the bases in the third. An infield error led to two runs and Narron crossed the plate on a fielder's choice.

Lutz picked up a hit in the Panthers' one-run fourth.

Holloman helped ignite a three-run uprising in the fifth. Travis Jones doubled and Jonathan Hodge added a two-RBI single.

The Panthers finished with nine hits.

Holloman allowed six hits in a six-inning stint on the mound. The senior right-hander struck out four and walked four. Ashley Moore provided one inning of two-strikeout relief.

"We got big hits at the right time," North Johnston coach Tim Jones said. "The team battled back after falling behind by three.

"Brad gave us another solid job on the mound."

North Johnston is the guest of North Duplin on Friday.
