Vernette Williams, 78, 967 W. Best Road, Kenansville, died Tuesday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Big Zion AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Dr. Larry E. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Mack and Ida Mae McGowan Williams, and wife of Robert Williams.
Six children survive.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
