ROBERT "BOBBY" HILL

Robert "Bobby" Hill, 79, North Long Branch, N.J., passed away peacefully Aug. 5, 2018, at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 172 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank, N.J.
Viewing will be an hour prior tot he funeral service, and interment will be at Brigadier Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, N.J.
Bobby was born May 9, 1939, in Wayne County, N.C., to the late Roscoe and Rosa Hill.
He served as a drill sergeant in the United States Army Reserves, and retired after 26 years of service.
He also retired from Allied Bendix in Eatontown, N.J., and Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, N.J.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; a son, Virgil (Ulla) Coley of Germany; three daughters, Terri Coley Carraway of Goldsboro, N.C., Tonya Hill-Pileri (Andy) of North Long Branch, N.J., and Tyra Priester (Michael) of Tinton Falls, N.J.; and two sisters, Edna Mae (Walter) Artis and Janice Hill both of Goldsboro, N.C.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Hill and Bennie Reid, and a granddaughter, Yukari Carraway.
A memorial service will be held in Goldsboro at a later date.
