Elizabeth "Bette" Vega departed her journey in life Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at her home.
A service will be held in her home town of Amherst, Mass.
Ms. Vega was born in Amherst, Mass., to the late Marion Atkins Adair and William Chandler Atkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norberto Vega.
She was employed by Walmart, and after retirement, volunteered helping to teach the English language.
She is survived by her two brothers, Dr. James Atkins (Sherry) of Goldsboro, N.C., and Chandler Atkins of Queensbury, N.Y., and two sisters, Linda Thompson (Floyd) of Warrenton, Va., and Holly Pelissier (Charles) of Nipomo, Calif.
