Beulah Lane Jackson, 90, longtime Mount Olive resident, passed away Thursday night, June 7.
Funeral services will be held by the graveside Tuesday, June 12 , at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park of Goldsboro, and will be officiated by the Rev. Nick Nielsen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to St. Jude Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
Mrs. Jackson, widow of Milford Richard “Swifty” Jackson, was a member of Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, and was retired from Belk-Tyler’s Department Store in Mount Olive, where she was a sales clerk and bookkeeper.
Surviving family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Ceba Alan Jackson Sr. and Barbara Jackson of Fayetteville; another daughter-in-law, Martha Battle Jackson of Raleigh; two grandsons, Ceba Alan Jackson Jr. and Eric Adam Jackson and wife, Tashana; five brothers, Bill Lane and wife, Sarah, Ken Lane and wife, Martha, Jake Lane and wife, Nancy, John Lane and wife, Linda, and Robert Lane; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford; a son, Rick Jackson; parents, George W. Lane and Mavin Wray Lane; a brother, Durwood Lane; and sisters, Katherine Tarlton and Pat Meier.
