Robert Lawrence Nelson, 59, Goldsboro, died Thursday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
A visitation celebrating his life will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Bob's residence from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. For further information call (228) 229-0919.
Surviving are his fiancée, Rhonda Sutton of Dudley; sister, Linda Nelson Sullivan (Jack) of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, James "Jim" Nelson (Cindy) of Vancleave, Miss.; and his nieces and nephews.
Bob was a retired superintendent for Virtexco of Virginia. He was born in North Dakota and preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Margaret Gordon Nelson and Gordon Arthur Nelson; and his nephew, John Sullivan. Bob loved working outside, being on the water and most of all, doing things for others.
