Melissa Furnan "Missy" Massey, 59, passed away Monday at her home.
She was the daughter of Peggy Waters Hester and the late Eddie Hester.
Missy leaves behind her loving husband, Donny Lee Massey of the home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Doug Dexter officiating.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Massey is survived by her son, Andy Massey (Janelle) of Fort Carlson, CO; two stepsons, James Keith Massey (Jennifer) of Goldsboro; Tim Massey of Goldsboro; one brother, Edward Hester of Mt. Olive; one sister, Memory Renee Hester of Mt. Olive; and an uncle, Kenneth Waters of Mt. Olive; and a beloved granddaughter, Addison, along with two step grandchildren, Sierra and Aren.
