Bishop Jesse "Bishop Loftin" Jerome Loftin, 63, Fayetteville, died Friday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Cornerstone United Holy Church Inc. of LaGrange, with pastor Linda G. Pridgen officiating. Interment will be in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
He was born in Lenoir County June 2, 1954, to Ina Lee Loftin Harper and the late Herman Weldon.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel of LaGrange, with the family present 6 to 7. Thursday the family will assemble at the home of Ina Harper, 113 Circle Drive, LaGrange, at 11:45 a.m. for the funeral procession.
