Mary Lucille "Tink" Barbee Bagley, 79, passed away Thursday evening at Brookdale Berkeley.
Lucille was born in Stanley County April 9, 1938, to the late Luther Barbee and Elizabeth Smith Barbee. She was married to the late Glenn Alden Bagley.
Lucille worked as a merchandising sales representative at News America Marketing, and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Tink loved children, and in years past, she served as one of Santa's helpers at Berkeley Mall.
Always one with a giving, fun-loving spirit, she was known as "The Candy Lady" by the children in her neighborhood.
A memorial service will be held at New Hope United Methodist Church at a date to be announced for February 2018.
Lucille is survived by her daughters, Jenny Bagley Irvin of Brevard and Denise Bagley Cooper of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jessalyn Irvin, Samuel Irvin IV and Kala Cooper Lynn; brother, Jerry Barbee of Albemarle; a daughter-of-the-heart, Kathy Moore of Apex; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Worth Bagley, and sisters, Ramelle Hinson and Betty Whitley.
